The enviable fortress is privately owned (by the Royal family of Jaipur). Birla temple is run by one of India's largest industrial houses and is studded with intricate carvings on white marble The temple is chiefly devoted to Lakshmi (Goddess of wealth) and Narayana (Lord Vishnu).
