Roughly divided by the world's oldest mountain range—the Aravalis—into western arid and eastern semi-arid bio-geographic regions, Rajasthan is blessed with characteristic as well as unique flora and fauna. This section focuses on just some of the myriad natural aspects of the state.
More than 70 percent of Rajasthan's population lives in villages and it is not possible to experience Rajasthan fully without witnessing the beautiful, quiet, seemingly simple and sustainable life of its villages. The images in this section offer only a small glimpse into the rural life of Rajasthan.
Strong blends of history, culture, trade, commerce, wealth and poverty, cities are nerve centres of the state and often places where east meets west! This section of the website is in its infancy and we hope to bring you images from many more cities / towns of Rajasthan as soon as we can!
