The Desert National Park, covering an area of more than 3,000 sq km, is located about 50 km west of Jaisalmer. Sand-dunes, grasslands, scrublands and low rock faces constitute the physical features of this park. DNP boasts of a good variety of characteristic flora and fauna and offers a lot to the serious wildlifer.
