Conglomerate Rocksat Jaipur     N a t u r e s c a p e s

Conglomerate rocks, estimated to be 1600 million years old (!) stand in the middle of a Jaipur city forest as evidence of Rajasthan's (or India's) tumultuous and varied geological history.

Conglomerate rocks are sedimentary rocks, made up of large sediments like sand and pebbles, cemented together with dissolved minerals. This obviously happens over a l-o-n-g :-) period of time.
