Grassland at Sariska National Park     N a t u r e s c a p e s

Tight shot of a magnificent, sloping natural grassland at Sariska National Park; perhaps an ideal place to camouflage a Tiger!

Once famous the world over for its Tigers (Panthera tigris), Sariska is now devoid of this magnificent mammal. Amidst great controversey that made headline news in 2005, it was revealed that the park no longer has Tigers; over a period of years, the entire Tiger population apparently succumbed to poaching.
