A Spectacled Cobra (Naja naja) at Taal Chhapar Wildlife Sanctuary. Needless to say, this is a highly venemous snake!
Besides being important links in the ecological chain, snakes find respectful portrayal in traditional art, craft, mythology and religion in Rajasthan with an entire festival (the Nag Panchami in Jodhpur) devoted to them.
